Hello, and welcome to Murder and Intrigue! My name is Amanda Craig, and I’m the owner of Snappy Copywriting, and the writer for Murder and Intrigue Murder Mysteries.
Professionally, I’ve been in various job positions which included business writing responsibilities since around 2002. I enjoy business writing, but it is very different from any sort of creative writing, and over the years my desire to write in a creative venture probably grew out of the dry business writing day after day.
Murder mysteries, by contrast, are something I have enjoyed over the majority of the past decade. They are always fun and creative, and I’ve had a chance to participate in murder mystery games from a variety of companies; both as a participant and as a hostess. Combine this experience with a little of my nerdy, silly personality, and it makes sense that writing murder mysteries would be a creative outlet suited for me!
I’ve lived in Texas my entire life. For my international friends–this does not mean I ride a horse to work! I also don’t like country music (although I’ll give a nod to Johnny Cash, who was an exceptional person) and I don’t own a pair of cowboy boots. I work a day job and I’m married to a wonderful Australian man, Brad Craig. In our down time we love to remodel our home, cook, and enjoy a good barbie (barbecue).
One day I’ll release that classic American novel, but until then, you can find me in the backyard, a glass of wine in hand, enjoying every day of life! Life is too short to waste a moment of it…
