Lake Eyre is an unusual lake hidden in the heart of the Australian outback. Its desert location means it only fills with water when the eastern half of the country floods.
When this rare event occurs, Australians from all parts of the country travel hours across the desert sands to the Lake Eyrebasin to compete in regatta races. It’s a good time to enjoy cold beer, meat pies, and prawns on the barbie at the pub, or sunny days racing over the open waters of Lake Eyre.
You are personally invited to join millionaire Richie Smitty, owner of Down Under Sails, for an amazing racing adventure in the center of the Australian continent—a moonlight regatta!
